Keystone Resort

We spent three nights at the Arapahoe Lodge at the Keystone Resort, which we got through June's Disney Vacation Club. When we first arrived I think we were the only people in the three condo building that shared our garage - it was a little eerie. The Keystone worked out great for Mike, as we could appoximate living at home for a few days - we could have "O's and Milk" at the breakfast table in the morning, we could cook our own lunch, and we could lay on the couch and watch TV at bedtime.

When we walked into the main lodge area the next day, I saw signs for "BMW's Mountain Driving Tour". Seems BMW wants people to try driving their four wheel drive cars and SUVs, so they had a loaner program at the hotel. We signed up for a spot the next day, and were told it was pretty much wide open - we were the only people on the list. We would pick our BMW 330xi up at 10:30 in the morning, and were told to bring it back "in the afternoon". Cool! We kept the 330 for about 2 hours, and drive back and forth over Loveland Pass four times, taking turns at the wheel (not Michael - he just slept). Not a bad car at all, but I could do without the 4WD and definitely without the automatic). When we returned it we took out the X5 3.0 for a bit - basically it's a truck.
